The NZRDA is 25 years old!!
Yes we have been around 25 years. Actually we have been around a lot longer than that in various forms as a soon to be published history of the Resident Doctors in NZ will explain - watch for that mid year. What we now think of as NZRDA however started in 1985 with the push to reduce the hours we work. This resulted in the Limits on Hours introduced by the Higher Salaries Commission but the NZRDA did not stop there! Today we continue to proudly be the representative organisation for Resident Doctors in NZ.
In celebration of these 25 years we have commissioned a book detailing our history to date and mid year we will be having a party.
We are hosting a black tie event to be held at The Langham, Auckland on 4 September 2010. If you are interested in attending or would like to be included in future communication regarding this celebration please express your interest by emailing: anniversary@nzrda.org.nz or please register for the dinner here :
